The International Dyslexia Association, Los Angeles Branch is a non-profit organization that serves Los Angeles County, Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, and parts of Orange County. The Los Angeles County Branch is dedicated to stimulating awareness and understanding of dyslexia, to establish and promote the treatment of dyslexia and to give support to dyslexics and their families. Our purpose is accomplished through many free or low cost community programs by a group of hard working volunteers.

Mission

The Los Angeles County Branch of the International Dyslexia Association is comprised of professionals, parents, and adults with dyslexia interested in promoting and increasing public awareness, treatment, and remediation of dyslexia and other related learning disabilities. Public awareness is accomplished through workshops, seminars, conferences, informational packets, and a speaker’s bureau.

It is the mission of the IDALA to raise awareness and understanding of dyslexia, to promote effective practices, and to support individuals with dyslexia, their families, and professionals in the field.  Our goal is to empower individuals with dyslexia to reach their potential as creative and contributing members of the community.
