Dana Berlin Gelb

Dana Berlin Gelb serves as the Academic Learning Specialist at Carlthorp School in Santa Monica, bringing more than 20 years of experience in education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Teaching degrees from the University of Virginia and began her career teaching at an all-boys school in New York City, where she spent nearly a decade in the classroom. After relocating to Los Angeles, Dana expanded her work through leadership roles, including director of admissions and principal of an independent preschool and lower school. She has worked in private practice as an educational therapist (ET/P), partnering with students and families to support diverse learning needs and deliver intensive academic intervention. Her favorite part of the job is celebrating wins, both big and small, with her students.
