Renata Abraham brings a unique perspective to IDALA. After spending many years as a banking professional in Los Angeles her life took a very different trajectory when her daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia in 2011. She understands the uncertain and difficult process of trying to help a child with dyslexia while simultaneously navigating a complex education and support system for her daughter. She got involved in her child’s school, and learned everything she could about dyslexia and the support systems built around it. She wants to keep raising awareness about dyslexia to ensure that children living with dyslexia have access to critical resources. She takes pride in her involvement in IDALA and hopes to inspire and help others, including parents and educators, support these learners and ensure their success.
