In recognition of Dyslexia Awareness Month, The LaFetra College of Education, in collaboration with the International Dyslexia Association Los Angeles Branch, invites you to a special screening of the powerful documentary: Left Behind. This moving film highlights the dedication of parents who fought to establish the first public school designed to serve students with dyslexia.

Audience: This event is open to the public, but seating IS limited. Priority will be given to those who registered. We invite educators, parents and advocates for children with diverse learning needs. 

Following the film, we will host a panel discussion featuring the director, Anna Toomey, as well as educators, parents, and students who will share their personal experiences and answer audience questions. Light refreshments will be provided.

This is an opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired by stories of advocacy and resilience. We look forward to raising awareness and building community together.
